ISO is the measure of a digital camera's sensitivity to light. Technically, ISO allows more or less light into the camera visually creating a more or dark picture depending on the ISO rating. The lower the ISO, the lighter the picture. The higher the ISO, the darker the picture. A low ISO requires a faster shutter speed which requires a low aperture.

Shutter Speed is the amount of time the shutter is open. Technically, shutter speed works by opening the shutter for certain increments of time before closing either making the picture have blurred movement or a freeze movement visually in the photo. In relation to the exposure triangle, a high shutter speed requires a low aperture and the ISO will change based on the amount of light available to the sensor in the camera.

Aperture is the size of the opening in the lens that permits light to hit the film/digital sensor. Technically, Aperture works by allowing more or less light to come in the lens creating a shallow or large depth of field respectively. Visually, Aperture works by separating the subject from the background or creating a clear focus. Low aperture needs a high shutter speed and ISO stays the same

25 Themes Final

My thoughts on this shooting assignment varied a bit. Some shots, i was really proud of, but other shots, I felt that I could do better if I were to do this assignment again. I liked having to think about how I could portray a theme without any words and only images. In the end, I really liked how we put all the images together in one large mosaic type photo. My favorite photo was the single flower on the dead branches because it symbolized hope. It really shows how no matter how bad it gets, it can always get better. Overall, I thought this assignment was pretty thought provoking and it helped me practice my photography skills.

 Sidney Key was named after her dad’s favorite TV show character. Sidney likes taking photos and wants to learn how to take better ones, which is why she’s taking this class. The best 2 words that describe her are weird and creative. If she could change one thing about herself, she would like to become more organized. In ten years, Sydney will either be in a band or in college with a job. Sidney can be found on her phone or in her room playing drums. Her biggest fear is being in the water with animals. Her favorite restaurant is Sticks. Her favorite animal is a flamingo and she would like to visit Greece someday.

22.  Sad		An object doesn't have to be alive to show emotion. In this case, the stuffed dog had a very sad look on its face.
